They are always at the county's housing fair (usually in October) and I feel like I see them at other community fairs across the county. Plus, didn't they have a commercial on tv? The HOC website has lots of info and human services organizations in the area should have the info to pass on to the folks they see. Getting the word out about programs like this is always hard for lots of communities. For MoCo there's just so much interest in the program that they always fill slots early. Plus the MPDU program has stiulations, like (I believe) having to own the house for 10 years. It's a mobile society and that's a hard decision for some to make. There's a greater sense of helping out your friends or really just other Asians. If one person learns something, they go tell everyone else. The homes are not bad, they just lack certain amenities.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;   Why not build homes all the same, but make them affordable with 4% mortgages for the middle class or for those who make even less than middle class income.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;  In 1991 a bill was proposed to the House Banking Committee suggesting that the Federal govrment only insure those banks that would offer mortgages 2$ higher than what they were on savings accounts. I don't think it's that bad.  Granted it's...</title><content type='html'>Really? I don't think it's that bad.  Granted it's not the most unique nor does it push the envelope.  But I prefer that type of development because otherwise, and most commonly, you get left with an eye sore of what was once a "modern" and "cool" design.  I'm thinking 60's and 70's era buildings... what were they thinking.  Nothing beats a classic, plain, timeless brick structure from the early 1900's or before. Plus with the Crescent you get a damn good location.
