One of First Fillmore Performances Leaked
The official announcement of the Silver Spring Fillmore's initial slate of shows is still set for this Friday, but here's one that has been unofficially announced, per the Baltimore Sun:
"Black Star - Mos Def and Talib Kweli - are touring again. The duo will perform at the Fillmore, the new Live Nation venue in Silver Spring, September 18, just around the time the spiffy theater opens."

I bet there will be a Tone Loc show in the first year.
First of many comments from folks who don't realize that this show will probably kick a**.
It didn't leak, exactly. It was part of a larger tour announcement from the band's management, it appears.
According to Pollstar, we can also look forward to a visit from Yngwie Malmsteen on 10/15.

Pretty good start. Hope this actually takes off and Downtown Silver Spring can finally BEGIN to have the start of a moderately decent nightlife.
Gangs or no gangs, this is the best thing to happen to downtown Silver Spring since Ellsworth. Bring it on!

One more date has hit the web:
Yngwie Malmsteen October 11th
Actually, that's October 15th.

I don't care what you all think. This is the group I'm holding out for.
