Huzzah! Goldberg's Bagels to Open Sunday

Goldberg's Bagels on Georgia Ave. is finally set to open for business this Sunday, or so I hear. I will be there bright and early with bells on. Please, please, let their bagels be good enough to replace Bethesda Bagels.

Oh, and as a follow up to my earlier post, I discovered that someone already had the giant bagel sign idea...

Awesome! I've been going to Bethesda Bagels too. I hope this one's a winner. Though I think I may still go to DC for an H&H once in a while...

Do you know the address? Or intersection?

I used to drive over the Goldberg's in Rockville to pick up a dozen. We liked to freeze em for later use as bagel sandwiches. If you got there later than 11am DURING THE WEEK you might be looking at bagel dust in the bins.

Have you tried the Bagel Place in College Park or The Bagelry in SS?

Very excited to check this out this weekend. So far, Ize's in White Flint are the best I have found. The wheat everythings there are a nice touch. I wasn't impressed by the Bagelry at all, nor the Rockville Goldberg's, but either will do in a true bagel emergency.

That is excellent news! Can't wait to see if they're as good as the ones in Pikesville.

Joe's is open. They're still setting things up. The staff is very friendly and they have a ton of vinyl. The only thing I was disappointed about was the lack of indie vinyls. I was looking for some early to mid 00's Animal Collective and Broken Social Scene, but to no avail.

I did pick up a Jackson 5 record, a copy of Thriller, Bob Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited, a Motown Compilation, and a liturgical chant record. I'm listening to Thriller now!

The prices are reasonable, and the guy at the register was very friendly. Looking forward to stopping in now and then.

WTF!!! It's not open on Saturday. What bagel place doesn't open on Saturday's? I'm from the land of bagels NJ/NY and have never heard of such a thing.
